ABOUT
about

Tracy Hayes is a writer and artist living in McMinnville, Oregon
In High School, Tracy and her best friend completely rewrote Shakespeare’s play, Julius Caesar in modern jargon to demonstrate that they understood it. The teacher kept their work. Tracy has taken art classes most of her life, encouraged by her father, a week-end sculptor. She learned to love books at an early age, from her parents reading aloud to her in various voices to depict different characters. Now she makes up her own characters, both written and drawn.

Tracy graduated from University of Oregon with a Bachelor’s Degree in sculpture and drawing. After college, she worked for various firms and businesses as a commercial artist and illustrator, while building her free-lance business. After a break for a severe illness, Tracy is back at her desk and creating up a storm: writing, painting, drawing, collaging, and sculpting all of the great ideas she had during her illness.

ARTIST'S VISION

To create a positive emotional experience through text and visual imagery; to allow viewers and readers to immerse themselves in the magic of idealized environments and to feel part of that other world.
